Dreams Can Come True

My dream came true in 1950 and ever since I've been living and loving the country life.

My given name is Grace Margaret. When I was born my father wrote:

Grace for all the name implies
Margaret a pearl from the azure skies

My father studied geology and knew that Margaret comes from the Greek word"margaron" which means pearl or pearly.

My mother and grandmother had first claim to the name Grace. So I have always been called Peggy, which is a short form for Margaret.

And just to set the record straight-I will be 90 years old this year...or as my father used to say "I am 10 years from 100."

I was born and raised a city girl. In 1950 my husband and I decided that we wanteda life in the country. We thought that raising children and gardens and animals would go together well in a country setting.

So for the last 58 years I have lived my life in the country.

I wouldn't change one day of it!
